Heidi M. Raffanello, former DEA Special Agent, joins CSI

Heidi M. Raffanello, retired Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), has been named Director of Government Services for Creative Services, Inc. (CSI), a Massachusetts-based national background screening
and security consulting firm.

“We are very pleased to have Heidi join our staff to expand our Government Services Division and assist our existing client base with her expertise and leadership. Heidi had a distinguished career with the DEA and brings many skills to CSI” according to Alan T. Sklar, President.

In September 2006, Ms. Raffanello retired with over 21 years of successful experience in investigations, management and security with the DEA. Her last assignment at the New York Field Division included managing and leading enforcement operations within the New York Drug Enforcement Task Force comprised of DEA, New York Police Department and New York State Police, and later a division of DEA enforcement groups.

Prior to her assignment with DEA, she was hired as the first female patrol officer in the New London, Connecticut Police Department. For the past two years, she has worked in the security field as a Director of Business Development and a Security Consultant.

Ms. Raffanello’s prior DEA key assignments included Boston, Miami and Phoenix Field Divisions, DEA Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia: Special Operations Division, Office of International Operations and Office of Security Programs. During her assignment to the Office of Security Programs, Ms. Raffanello served as the Deputy Chief Inspector of Security Programs. In this capacity, she was the Program Manager for DEA security worldwide. She directed and oversaw the management of Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, Executive Protection and the Security Guard Force.

She is a member of ASIS International and until January 2009 served on the ASIS Crisis Management and Business Continuity Council. Ms. Raffanello is also a member of the Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE) and Association of Former Federal Narcotics Agents (AFFNA).

Ms. Raffanello received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts in 1979. She has also attended and completed Security Management graduate courses at John Jay College, as well as numerous seminars and training in drug law enforcement, security, crisis management, risk management and executive leadership.
