Dear NAPBS Members and Conference Attendees;

Welcome to the NAPBS Conference in the Mile High City where the sun shines 300 days a year! These are busy times for professionals in the Background Screening industry with robust business and flourishing markets. We appreciate that you have opted to join us in Denver for the personal rewards that our Conference offers and applaud your commitment to your profession and NAPBS. The opportunities that come with spending a few days with peers who have interest in the same issues are invaluable. Whether you are a new member or founding member, the education and insight that will be gained in the programs offered will support your desire to Play to Win. You are sure to return home from Denver with something of benefit!

For those of you who arrive early for meetings of the Board or the Global Advisory Council, for training or the FCRA Certification Exam, thank you for your continued participation. We kick off our Conference Sunday night with a state of the association message followed by a delicious repast as we spend time with our exhibitors and friends old and new. Exhibitors and sponsors are such an integral, valuable part of our conferences and contribute to our success year after year. This year we are fortunate to have Olympic Gold Medalist Shannon Miller as our Keynote speaker. Shannon is sure to motivate us with her energy!

On behalf of the NAPBS Board of Directors, I want to thank the Conference and Sponsorship Committees, our Executive Director Melissa Sorenson and the staff at IMI who have worked hard to plan this meeting and provide a rich program. We have excellent speakers, relevant sessions and planned networking events thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and staff. Their collective goal was to provide information that you can use in your work and they have hit a homerun! In addition, we would like to thank all of our Association strategic partners for their influence: Stanton Communication, Meyer Klipper and Mohr, PLLC and Arnall Golden and Gregory LLP.

On a personal note, this year has been a rich experience with so much success on matters addressed throughout this term. I want to thank my fellow Board members as well as the Committee Chairs/Co-Chairs for their dedication. Together we have tackled much on behalf of our members. I have utmost respect for the collective focus of a team that drove us forward on every front. We were clearly playing to win! As always, we welcome your questions and feedback. Your recommendations are always considered for future conferences – we look forward to hearing from you!

So jump in and enjoy the show! This will be a time to remember!
